I grew up in Michigan but went to college in Cleveland, Ohio. While in school I fell in love with the town and my husband. I’ve been here for nearly 20 years now, but have stayed very close with my family. It’s been very important to my husband and me that our children have a relationship with their out-of-state grandparents and cousins.

Slow down, Unplug and Savor Your Family Weekend
During weekends away with my parents, I remember many meals being spent together at the cabin dining room table … I would hope to recreate this for my children in our weekend of unplugging, as well. I would keep the meals simple, but delicious, with hot dogs and hamburgers. We would finish it off with Marie Callender’s Blackberry Cobbler for a perfect ending to a long day spent outside in the fresh air and sunshine.
