Spring is here, and for my family, that means starting our small garden. We have a very small yard so a small garden works best for us. Regardless of the yard size, small gardens can be great for anyone because they are a lot less work than giant vegetable gardens. A family garden can be a project for everyone in the family to help plan, plant, care for, harvest and enjoy.

You may have heard of the idea that when dining out, everyone places their phones in the center of the table and the first of your friends or colleagues to reach for it has to pay for dinner. Great idea, but not so practical at home. So, for family meals at our own table, we are switching it up a bit.

How to Create Your Own Comfort Box
Creating a comfort box is as simple as gathering comfort items and setting them aside. You can use one large box, like I do, or you can create a box for each family member. For the youngest kids, you may have to make some educated guesses on comfort items, but for the rest of the family, just ask.
