During weekends away with my parents, I remember many meals being spent together at the cabin dining room table … I would hope to recreate this for my children in our weekend of unplugging, as well. I would keep the meals simple, but delicious, with hot dogs and hamburgers. We would finish it off with Marie Callender’s Blackberry Cobbler for a perfect ending to a long day spent outside in the fresh air and sunshine.

I really, really love ice cream. Especially as the days get longer and warmer, there is nothing quite like a bowl of ice cream. Well, except pie. Or, pie with ice cream. I think if I could choose one dessert, forever, it would be apple pie a la mode.
